Patient Concierge
At BHC Alhambra Hospital, we realize that seeking treatment for an eating disorder can be a challenging decision for you and your family. Our goal is to help make this process as simple as possible - let us focus on the details, so you can focus on your eating disorder treatment and recovery.
We provide assessment and referral services seven days a week by appointment. Assessment and referral is a free service provided by our facilities and is offered to anyone regardless of insurance coverage or whether treatment is received at BHC Alhambra Hospital or elsewhere.
Our Patient Concierge provides the following benefits for eating disorder treatment patients:
- Same-day clinical consultation
- Complimentary benefit verification
- Arranging transportation to and from the airport
- Lodging recommendations for family members
- Communicating any special needs to the treatment team
- Providing toiletries and needed items to make your stay more comfortable
The Process
Our Reasons Eating Disorder Center Admissions office is available 8 am to 10 pm to answer your questions and begin the paperwork with you over the phone. Please be prepared to provide client information including: name, address, phone number, email, date of birth, social security number, emergency contact, insurance company name, phone number, individual and group identification numbers.
A free initial assessment with one of our therapists will be scheduled the same day either by phone or on-site to assess symptoms and discuss the best treatment options. The assessment takes approximately 30-45 minutes and concludes with recommendations for treatment.
Once a date for admission is set, our Admission and Referral Coordinator will assist you in preparing what to bring and what to expect your first week in the program.
Insurance and Fees
BHC Alhambra Hospital is contracted with many insurance providers. When you call us, you will receive a free insurance verification to assist you in evaluating your coverage. We accept most major managed healthcare and medical insurance plans and offer affordable payment arrangements.
If we are not contracted with your insurance company, they still may cover a portion of the costs. Please call us at 1.800.235.5570 so we can assist you with this process.
